On The Day of Pentefost….

One morning , after spending time with the Lord , I reached for my phone and noticed that a dear friend had sent me a voice note. Curious, I pressed play. It was her little niece joyfully singing a familiar song:

“Fire, fire, fire, fall on me. On the day of Pentefost…” (Pentecost, she meant! ahahaha)  well ,she did pronounce better than i did at her age because oh my days i butchered this song in those days , anyways story for another day.

At first, I smiled and thought it was simply a usual sweet song sang by a kid . However, I have learnt that God often speaks through the most ordinary moments, and the real clue was hidden between the lines. Later that same morning during our church service, the pastor unexpectedly preached from Acts 2, drawing our attention to the account of Pentecost. Then, the very next day, during our Monday morning prayer call, the apostle leading the meeting also spoke extensively about Pentecost. By that point, I knew this was no coincidence. God was deliberately highlighting something, and I needed to pause, meditate, and discern what He was trying to communicate.

I found myself asking the Lord, “Why does this word keep appearing before me? What are You trying to say?”

As I reflected on it throughout the day at work, the Holy Spirit began to unfold its significance.

Pentecost, whose Greek name means “fiftieth,” was celebrated fifty days after Passover. It was also known as the Feast of Weeks, a joyful celebration, and an agricultural festival of thanksgiving, where the first fruits of the wheat harvest were presented before the Lord. More importantly, it became one of the most defining moments in the New Testament, recorded in Acts 2:1–4, when the disciples were gathered together in Jerusalem. Suddenly, there came a sound like a mighty rushing wind, tongues of fire rested upon each believer, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

As I continued meditating, four symbols stood out to me: fire, wind, the dove, and the breath of God.

Then I sensed the Lord speaking very clearly:

“This is your month of Pentecost. You will experience My breath again, My presence again, and My fire again. The dove represents the covenant I am renewing with you. My Spirit will become increasingly tangible in your life, and My promises concerning you will indeed be ‘Yes’ and ‘Amen.’”

As I prayed, I saw myself stepping onto a stage, yet it was unlike anything I had experienced before. It felt as though I had entered an entirely new dimension with God. Everything appeared fresh, radiant, and remarkably bright. There was an unusual sense of ease as I climbed the final steps, as though every previous struggle had been preparing me for this very moment. When I finally opened my mouth to speak, it was as though fire flowed from within me. Yet this was not merely fire that consumed. At times it was a gentle fire that brought healing. At other times it was an encouraging fire that strengthened hearts. It was the fire of God’s presence expressing itself through His words.

I realised that something profound had already taken place long before I stepped onto that stage. The pressing had happened. The refining had happened. The hidden process had accomplished its purpose; I had been transformed. I was no longer carrying the same weight, uncertainty, or hesitation. I felt refined, purified, and matured. My spiritual fragrance had changed, and there was a new beauty in what God had produced through the process. Then I sensed the Lord saying that the season of preparation was giving way to the season of movement. It was time to be ready, set, go. The uncertainty that had once surrounded certain assignments were being replaced with divine clarity. Boldness was replacing fear. Courage was rising where hesitation had once lingered. The call was no longer simply to prepare but to move confidently in obedience.

For me, Pentecost has become a powerful symbol of a changing season. It stands for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, a deeper experience of God’s presence, another measure of the demonstration of His power, and a divine call to action.

As I stayed before the Lord, I heard another word that deeply encouraged my heart:

“This month marks the beginning of a season filled with overwhelming joy. It will feel like a prolonged holiday, a season so full of unexpected blessings that it will leave you in awe. Joy will burst forth from every direction.”

As He spoke, I saw the picture of a large bucket suddenly bursting open, with water overflowing in every direction. Around it stood people rejoicing with great celebration, as though they had been desperately waiting for rain to water dry and thirsty land. There was an overwhelming sense of relief, abundance, and joyful expectation. The impression remained with me long after the vision had passed. What is coming will not be hidden. It will not be quiet. What is coming will be loud. I do not know who need to hear this too but the day of Pentecost for you has come, expect it with joy. you will hear sound of abundance of wind  around you just know it is a sign. I do not know how it will look like but be expectant of an outpouring of rain.

God bless you
